All resolutions at the Annual General Meeting of Associated British Engineering PLC ('ABE') held today have been passed.

As announced in the Chairman's Statement in the Report and Accounts for the year ended 31 March 2008, the former ABE Pension Fund has been fully sectionalised and 'ABE' has no further financial obligations relating to the Fund. British Polar Engines Limited ('BPE'), a wholly owned subsidiary of 'ABE' remains liable for its own part of the pension fund.
