Statement re: suspension

Under the AIM Rules for Companies, Inveresk is required to announce its interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2008 by 30 September 2008. 

As previously disclosed on 24 June 2008, Inveresk is not yet in a position to publish its accounts for the period ended 31 December 2007 until it has obtained satisfactory banking arrangements.  For the same reasons, it is unable to announce its interim results.

The Board continues to explore a number of avenues to access additional capital in order to resolve its funding requirements and is making good progress in this regard.

The Company expects to make a further announcement shortly.
