China Eastsea Business Software Limited
(AIM: CESG)
Signing of four major IT contracts with Ningbo City Government
China Eastsea Business Software Limited ('China Eastsea'), which provides information technology and business process outsourcing services, announces that, further to the announcement on 28 February 2008, it has signed four major contracts worth RMB 13.6m (c. £1.12m ) for the Yinzhou District Government of Ningbo City ('YDG').
On 28 February 2008, China Eastsea announced that it had signed an outsourcing contract to review and upgrade IT systems for the YDG. A working group was formed to study the requirements of the current YDG IT platforms and to analyse the future IT requirements ahead of any further implementation of new systems. Following on from this review China Eastsea has now signed contracts to carry out work on four major projects.
These contracts are:
1. Implementation of IT infrastructure for the digital city administration project of YDG worth of RMB 8m (c. £0.66m)
2. IT support of the Health department's Disease Prevention and Control Centre worth RMB 1.4m (c. £0.11m)
3. IT support for the Police department's traffic control system worth RMB 1.7m (c. £0.14m) and;
4. Business Process Outsourcing support on information systems for the Administration and Service Centre of Ningbo Government worth RMB 2.5m (c. £0.21m).
The signing of these specific contracts further cements the relationship between China Eastsea and the Ningbo and Yinzhou District Government and reinforces the commitment shown by the government bodies to work with China Eastsea on a long term basis.
In addition, China Eastsea has just completed the digital city administration project at Lishui of Zhejiang province worth RMB 8.5m (c. £0.7m). This contract was signed in March this year and is another example of China Eastsea's ability to deliver a major project on time.
Eric Zhu, Chief Executive of China Eastsea, said:
'This contract demonstrates our success in diversifying our client base and expanding into other industry sectors beyond the petrochemical/petroleum IT outsourcing market. The Yinzhou District Government has shown their commitment to honour the master contract signed in February 2008 by finalising a series of major government contracts to China Eastsea. We look forward to provide them with our consulting, outsourcing and software solutions and the relationship will, no doubt, further develop into other major areas of the public sector.'
