Major interest in shares

Celtic plc (the 'Company') received notification on 5 August 2008 on behalf of Christopher David Trainer that on 1 August 2008 Mr Trainer acquired voting rights in the Company.

Mr Trainer's interest in voting rights in the Company has increased from 6,883,748 shares, representing 7.77% of voting rights, to 9,479,068 shares, representing 10.69% of voting rights. Of this, 72,800 shares, representing 0.08% of voting rights, are held indirectly by Forrest Securities Limited, a company wholly owned by Mr Trainer.
