Director Appointment

Maghreb Minerals Plc ('Maghreb' or 'the Company'), the AIM-quoted exploration company developing

base metal and industrial mineral deposits in Tunisia, is pleased to announce the appointment of 

 Anthony Vivian Allen, as Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 August 2008.

Mr Allen, aged 59, has more than 30 years of City experience and is Chairman of Trifast plc. Mr Allen

started his career at NM Rothschild & Sons Limited ('NMR') in 1967. He was appointed to the Board of

NMR and as a Director in the Corporate Finance Division in 1992, where he remained until his

retirement in 2002. He has significant experience in providing corporate finance advice to a wide range

of public companies in the UK and overseas.

Mr Allen holds, or has in the last five years held, the following directorships:

There are no further details required to be disclosed under rule 17 and/or Schedule Two (g) of the AIM Rules of the London Stock Exchange.
