Macro 4 strengthens Board with new Non-Executive Director
Crawley, UK, 18th July 2008: Macro 4, a global software company offering world-class application performance, document management and application availability solutions, today announces the appointment of Charles Halle (57) as a non-executive Director.
Charles has many years experience in sales and business-to-business marketing, particularly within technology companies.
After two years with Burroughs, Charles enjoyed a 23-year career with IBM, where, amongst other things, he was Director of e-business in Northern Europe and South Africa.
Following IBM, Charles was appointed CEO of Vocalis Group PLC and subsequently became Chief Executive of Armature, an enterprise business software company focused on the retail market. He transformed both companies into sales and marketing led organisations, delivering significant improvements in business performance.
Since then Charles Halle has held a number of non-executive positions in the technology sector. Today he chairs the boards of Keronite Group PLC, Covelus Ltd and Predictive Solutions Ltd. Previously he has Chaired Netcentric Solutions, Waste per se, Robertson Cooper Ltd, Medalytix Ltd and Blue Prism Ltd, and has also been Senior Non Executive Director of ICM Computer Group PLC.
Charles has a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and Computing Science from Sheffield University.
