Secure Fortress appoints Robert Cabanya as CEO of Zephyr Communications
Secure Fortress Plc (PLUS: SCFP; XETRA: SFK) today announces the appointment of Robert Cabanya as CEO
of its US subsidiary, Zephyr Communications. With over twenty eight years of leadership experience,
Mr Cabanya is a widely recognized expert in the field of information technology in the aerospace,
commercial and defense industries.
Mr. Cabanya joins from Encryption Solutions, Inc., where he was President, Federal Systems Division.
Prior to that, he held a variety of senior executive roles at companies ranging in size from Fortune
500 firms such as Sprint Department of Defense and Intelligence Directorate to startups such as Gould
Computer Systems. At Sprint, Mr. Cabanya was Director/VP, Department of Defense/Intelligence
Directorate where he built and ran a billion dollar division focused on the defense and intelligence
industries. At Gould, he led the company's growth from a single contract to a 55 person company that
successfully competed in the market for real time data acquisition computers.
Mr. Cabanya served in the U.S. Marine Corps where he was a jet pilot. In college, he was an all-
American football player and then played professionally for the Oakland Raiders.
Mr. Cabanya attended the University of the Pacific, Denver University, University of Phoenix and
Harvard Executive Business School. He has a Masters Degree equivalent in the Defense Systems
Management College from University of Southern California.
