Resignation of Director

13 May 2008 

The board of Cagney Plc, the marketing services group, announces that Paul Simons has resigned as a director of the Company with immediate effect.  He will now be on leave for the remainder of his employment, which ends on 31 May 2008.  The board expects to announce Mr. Simons' replacement as Chief Executive shortly.  

Mr. Simons said: 'Timing is always a difficult call on change but I have now devoted over three years to the creation and development of Cagney. The Group is established, working well and making good progress so it feels like the right time to hand across to others, allowing me to focus on growing interests elsewhere. As a significant shareholder I look forward to the continued growth and success of Cagney and I will hopefully add value when I'm able to.'  

Alex Hambro, the Company's Chairman said 'Paul brought the Group into existence with his vision and drive and leaves in place a strong management team capable of building a successful marketing services group on the foundation Paul has put in place.  We wish Paul well in the future.'
