Board Appointments
Delcam, the UK's leading supplier of CAD/CAM software solutions to manufacturers
worldwide, is delighted to announce the appointment of two senior directors to
the Board and the promotion of Clive Martell, currently an Executive Director,
to the newly created position of Operations Director. These changes
substantially strengthen the composition of the Board and take immediate effect.
Clive Martell, aged 46 years, has been responsible for Delcam's commercial
activities in Europe, which account for approximately half Delcam's total
revenues, for the past seven years. He is now assuming responsibility for the
day-to-day management of the Group's operations worldwide. Delcam has a global
sales network, with agents and sales representatives in North America and the
Far East as well as in Europe. Clive will report to Hugh Humphreys, Managing
Director.
Bart Simpson, aged 36 years, has been Marketing Director at Delcam since 2000,
having joined the business from British Aerospace in 1993. In his new position
as Commercial Director, Bart will continue to be responsible for Delcam's
marketing activities and international technical support but his role is
enlarged to encompass the development of new sales channels for the Group's
latest product ranges, including its metrology, footwear, dental and Swiss
machining products.
Steve Hobbs, aged 48 years, has played an integral role in the technical
development of Delcam's machining software products for over ten years. Having
joined Delcam's Technical Team in 1983, he became Product Development Director
for two of the Group's key software ranges in 1997. He also heads Delcam's
Bespoke Software Development and Professional Services teams. As Development
Director, Steve will assume responsibility for the development of all Delcam's
machining software products. He continues to report to Ed Lambourne, Technical
Director.
Hugh Humphreys, Managing Director of Delcam, said,
'I am delighted to welcome Bart and Steve to the Board. They have both played an
important part in the successful development of the Group and their appointment
to the Board recognises this.
Delcam has grown significantly over the last few years, organically and through
acquisition. The new software ranges that we have acquired have widened our
product offering and opened up new geographic markets for us to exploit. I am
confident that this expansion of Delcam's Board positions us well for ongoing
growth and will enable us to enhance the management of all the opportunities
available.'
