Board appointment

Thomas Walker PLC ('Thomas Walker' or the 'Company') has today announced the
appointment to the Board of Mr William Marsh Good to succeed Mr Edward Cook as
its Group Managing Director. Mr Good will join Thomas Walker at the beginning of
June 2008 and will formally take up his appointment as Group Managing Director
in July 2008.

Mr Good (aged 55), a graduate engineer and qualified accountant, has extensive
industry experience, having previously been managing director of businesses
within the TI and Sandvik Groups.

He is currently a director of the Birmingham Assay Office. Other previous
directorships which have been held by Mr Good within the last five years are:

Ollerton Limited
Ollerton Engineering Services Limited
Birmingham Botanical Gardens (Enterprises) Limited
Birmingham Botanical and Horticultural Society Limited

Mr Good does not currently hold any shares in Thomas Walker, and there are no
other matters which are required to be disclosed in accordance with Rule 17 and
Schedule 2 of the AIM Rules.
