Delcam sets new record December sales
Delcam, the UK's leading supplier of CAD/CAM software solutions to manufacturers
worldwide, is delighted to announce that it achieved record monthly sales in
December 2007. Total sales for December were £3.75 million, which represents an
increase of nearly 32% on December 2006. Additionally, total sales for the
fourth quarter of the year rose by approximately 20% year on year. This
maintains Delcam's historic weighting of sales towards the second half of the
year and especially the final quarter of the year.
The growth reflects the ongoing focus on developing sales of the software ranges
acquired during the past three years - FeatureCAM, PartMaker and Crispin. These
ranges, in particular FeatureCAM and PartMaker, were previously sold in a
limited number of countries and therefore the potential for Delcam to extend
sales through its international distribution channels is material.
Delcam expects to issue its preliminary results for the year ended 31 December
2007 in mid March 2008.
Commenting, Managing Director, Hugh Humphreys, said,
'December has traditionally been Delcam's best month for software sales so it is
pleasing that we have continued this record and the ongoing strength of software
sales is testimony to the quality of our product offering and capacity to sell
globally.
Although, as previously stated, the impact of the weak dollar affects our
business, we continue to focus on developing international markets for all of
our software ranges and this has been key to driving sales.'
