Namibian Resources Plc ('the Company') announces the appointment of
Donald Graham Sutherland as an Executive Director.  He will become
Chief Operations Officer of the group responsible for our current
mining activities in Namibia as well as for the development of new
projects.  Donald, aged 58, has BSc and PhD degrees from Edinburgh
University and is a Member of the Institute of Materials, Minerals
and Mining.  Through his company, Placer Analysis Ltd, he has advised
the Company on geological matters since its inception.

Donald is  a director  of Placer  Analysis Ltd  and Menora  Resources
Namibia (pty) Ltd  (a private  company, which  is in  the process  of
being de-registered  in Namibia).    He was  formerly a  Director  of
Mengold Resources Inc (previously known  as Menora Resources Inc),  a
TSX listed mineral exploration company, from  1993 to 2006.  Save  as
set out above,  there is no  further information to  be disclosed  in
respect of Schedule 2 paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules for Companies.

His initial contract is  for a period of  one year and will  continue
thereafter subject to  6 months notice  given by either  party.   The
initial salary  is  £25,000 per  annum  with bonus  arrangements  for
meeting set targets.

In addition to his remuneration, Donald has been granted options over
750,000 new ordinary shares  of the Company,  exercisable at 12p  per
share (the mid-market price on  8 January 2008) at  any time up to  8
January, 2013.

Referring to the appointment, Lord Sheppard of Didgemere, Chairman of

the board. He has been involved in diamond exploration and mining for
over  30  years  with  extensive  experience  throughout  Africa  and
elsewhere.  Of particular relevance to Namibian Resources' operations
is his detailed knowledge of the  diamond deposits of the West  Coast
of Southern Africa".
