BOARD CHANGE
Jacques Vert Plc, the womenswear clothing retailer, announces that Derek
Lovelock, Non-executive Chairman, is retiring from the Board with effect from 1
November 2007. Derek is also CEO of Mosaic Fashions, a fashion group that has
grown from the buy-out of Oasis Stores in 2001, to a portfolio of eight fashion
brands with over 1,900 stores and concessions worldwide.
With effect from the same date, the Board of Jacques Vert also announces the
appointment of Steve Bodger as the Group's Non-executive Chairman. Steve has
been a Non-executive Director of Jacques Vert since November 2004 and he is also
a Director of Alchemy Venture Partners Limited, Armour Group PLC and Work Group
PLC, as well as being Chairman of a number of other companies.
Commenting, Derek Lovelock, said:
'I am sorry to be leaving the Jacques Vert Board after five very enjoyable
years, however, my other business commitments have grown to the extent that I am
no longer able to devote the necessary time to the Group. I am pleased to say
that I leave Jacques Vert in good shape, with a strong team in place and I wish
them all the very best for the future'.
Commenting, Paul Allen, Chief Executive of Jacques Vert added:
'On behalf of everyone at Jacques Vert I would like to thank Derek for the
tremendous contribution he has made since joining our Board in 2002 and
especially for his leadership as Chairman over the period since the acquisition
of William Baird plc. We have made great progress on a number of fronts and
Derek has played an important part in these achievements'.
