                  Retirement of Subsidiary's President and COO

FutureFuel Corp. (the 'Company') announces that Dr. Randall W. Powell, the
President and Chief Operating Officer of FutureFuel Chemical Company, the
Company's wholly owned subsidiary, retired today. Other senior managers at
FutureFuel Chemical Company will assume Dr. Powell's management
responsibilities.
