Pre-Close Statement June 2007

Thomas Walker PLC, the specialist engineering group, is today providing an
update on current trading before entering into its closed period prior to the
announcement of the results for the year ending 30 June 2007. The accounts for
this year will be the last ones prior to the adoption of IFRS (International
Financial Reporting Standards).

The Board indicated at the time of announcing the Group's Interim Results in
March that they expected the second half of the year to continue to consolidate
the achievements of the first six months. It is pleasing, therefore, to be able
to report that the Group has continued to trade satisfactorily.

The rationalisation of the stamping subsidiary's operations has now been
completed on schedule and within budget, notwithstanding some temporary
interruption to production as a result of relocation of the presses. The market
is challenging with the price of the main raw material, brass, continuing to be
very volatile.

Within the businesses of Thomas Walker UK Ltd, the identity products market is
currently in a routine 'replacement' phase, which has caused the sales to
plateau. However, clothing products are performing well, as the policy of
appointing quality agents in countries likely to benefit from the return flow of
garment manufacture from the Far East continues to prove successful.
