Zetex plc ('the Company') was informed on 18 June 2007 that Mr D Benstead, a
PDMR of the Company, exercised 62,130  options on 18 June 2007 under the Zetex 
plc 1994 Executive Share Option Scheme. 34,658 ordinary shares in the
Company  (0.033% of the issued share capital) were sold at a price of 87p per
share on 18 June 2007 to satisfy the costs of the option exercise and 27,472
ordinary shares (0.026% of the issued share capital) were retained.

Mr D Benstead's and Mrs W Benstead's resultant shareholding is 27,472 ordinary
shares, representing 0.026% of the issued share capital of the Company.
