ordinary shares in the Company, Barclays PLC, through Barclays Stockbrokers
Limited, now holds 27,438,117 ordinary shares in the Company (with an equal
amount of voting rights) as at 12 March 2007, representing 7.95% of the issued
share capital of Meriden.
